As Merchandise Assistant, you will support the Merchandising team to ensure seamless, accurate, and timely execution and documentation of product information across multiple systems. You will also help to monitor the development of new goods/launch product according to category strategies and SKU level line plans. Additionally, you will analyze product performance of both new and existing product to understand lifecycle, replenishment needs, and help identify white space opportunities. The Merchandise Assistant will interface with Design, Sales, Operations, and the vendor base daily in support of key product development deliverables and purchase order readiness; as well as liaise with eComm and Marketing in support of product features, launches, and other initiatives. The Merchandise Assistant will develop a customer-focused mindset, detailed knowledge of the business, and studied appreciation of the market. The Merchandise Assistant will report to the Director of Merchandising and support all company and department initiatives.


YOU WILL:

  • Support in planning and developing buying/merchandising strategies that balance customer expectations and company objectives.
  • Support in managing product life cycle from introduction through discontinuation, both technically and operationally. This includes (but is not limited to):
    • SKU creation in ODOO, generating purchase orders, sample replenishment, product attribute tagging/classifying, discontinuing products, etc.
    • Ensuring data integrity and troubleshooting when discrepancies arise
  • Conduct and report thorough analysis of product performance in order to identify market trends, assist leadership with strategic decisions, support Sales teams to drive business, and provide Design with feedback.
  • Own the implementation of digital content and online experience. This includes (but is not limited to):
    • Maintaining and continuously increasing PF’s online merchandise and SKUs across assigned digital marketplaces.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape to understand the industry and to help identify product development strategies and priority marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with multiple PF departments & teams in order to maximize and encourage sales.
  • Update and analyzes weekly reports and propose actions to Merchandiser to minimize risks and maximize opportunities.

Job requirements

YOU HAVE/ARE:

  • Ideally at least 1 year of experience.
  • Creative and innovative thinking.
  • Knowledge and/or enthusiasm about luxury interior design industry and related products.
  • Strong time management abilities, including planning and prioritizing workloads and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High level of ownership, accountability and self-initiative.
  • Highly organized, exceptional follow-through skills, and true attention to detail.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • A true team spirit and the ability to work with other teams, personalities, and management levels.
  • Excellent communication skills, including speaking, writing, and listening.
  • Thorough understanding of merchandising trends and industry best practices.
  • An interest to lead the change in our market and to make your mark.
