The Schumacher team is excited to add a talented PR Assistant to its team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and well organized PR Assistant to join our branding team at Schumacher. You will report directly to the Events & PR Manager, and be part of our growing team.

You will:

  • Coordinate and respond to press and sample requests
  • Support in executing and organizing press previews and events
  • Support PR department on all needs, events, projects and initiatives
  • Work closely with the Events & PR Manager to support the execution of the global press strategy
  • Responsible for the organization of press clippings, keeping the press tracking report up to date.
  • Coordinate product send outs to media, influencers and brand partners/vendors
  • Contribute creative ideas to bring to life new product launches, collaborations, gifting and press events.


Job requirements

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • You reside in the NYC area
  • A passion for interior design and a discerning eye
  • Possess strong writing and communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively and an independent thinker
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to both balance many priorities and act resourcefully, all while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word), Monday.com and Slack. A working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) is plus!
  • On occasion you might be asked to work extended hours (eg press/customer events)
